Vintage Chic & Body Renewal

I have ventured out into a new endeavor! Do you need to get a gift for your child's teacher? or your hairstylist? or how about your office staff? Well, look no further, I have the answer for you. I have created a lovely line of gift 'baskets' using vintage pieces from our store. The 'baskets' are filled with wonderful items with which to pamper yourself, your friends, and your family! There are all kinds of lotions, body washes, bath salts, etc. that will sooth your tired feet, smooth your skin, and relax your stressed muscles. I have been using this product line for years, and it is wonderful. It is formulated in Switzerland, and is made here in the US. There skin care products not only stop the aging process, but they actually slow it down! Who doesn't love that idea???

ready for Christmas??

It is now December 21st...and almost the end of the day..did anyone see the lunar eclipse last night? Yes, I will admit that I got up and out of bed at 3:30am to check it out...of course there was cloud cover, so I only saw it for split second...but it looked really cool...and now Christmas is only a few days away!! I miss the days when my girls were little. It was so much fun to wrap up presents, and set them under the tree. I think that the little gifts that I bought for their Christmas stockings were the most fun!! It was so neat to find cute little items that would suprise them...now they are both grown up...but they are still my little girls in my heart...and do I miss them both!!

Baby it's Cold Outside!!

yikes, it is a chilly one out there....yes, I know that it is December, but wow....Stop in to Middleton Mercantile and warm up! We have fresh baked Sourdough Bread available now too....and a fabulous selection of vintage embroidered linens, including tea towels, place mat and napkin sets, and table cloths. They would make a wonderful Christmas present...and best of all they are oh so 'green' !! In fact, our whole store is 'green'...except the bread of course....:o)

Snow again..??

We had another dusting of snow here in Robbins today. How fun...and they are calling for temperatures in the 70's at the end of this week...amazing...it still makes me laugh at how fast the weather changes here in North Carolina.
Do you like Celtic music? I am pleased to announce that on Saturday, March 14th at 1pm, I will be hosting the Cape Fear Pipes and Drums Band in front of my store, Middleton Mercantile. It is going to be soooo much fun. If you are in the area, please stop in to see them perform. Men in Scottish kilts, bagpipes and drums...what's not to love about that?? Here's to celebrating St. Patrick's Day!!

my REAL boyfriend.....

ok, I hope that Kyle doesn't read this posting, but my REAL boyfriend is Jeff Gordon...I just grabbed his driver widget from the NASCAR web site. Isn't that fun? I love this stuff...and, the Bud Shootout is tonight...yahooo...so excited..thank goodness racing is back!!..My brother Chris just sent me two huge boxes of NASCAR collectibles for me to sell for him in my store. Wow, there are some amazing cars in that collection. So cool.....I cleared out some space for all them, and will begin to display them over the next few days...what a fun project!!

my boyfriend...and welcome to the 90's....

Don't you love this stand-up? I tell everyone that he is my 'boyfriend'....It is so fun. I have it in my sports area of my store, Middleton Mercantile. It is Kyle Petty to those of you that aren't NASCAR fans...speaking of NASCAR, I can't wait for the Daytona 500!! I really don't like this time of year...no racing, and no baseball....I love both of those sports...speaking of things that I love, I have two fabulous daughters. They are sooooo incredibly awesome. They are both so talented, beautiful, and are both so hilarious to hang out with....did I mention that they were fabulous??? :o) I called one of them last night and told her that I had downloaded my first songs off of the internet yesterday...she said that was 'adorable', and then asked me why I hadn't done it before (like the rest of the planet)...I truly did not have an answer for her. I am so used to just buying cd's I guess...anyway, it was fun, and could be rather addicting! so many songs and artists from which to choose....yahooo...she offered to send me her iPod which she no longer uses because now she has an iPhone...isn't that cool? my very own iPod...so fun...I hope that it is pink....:o)
